Samsung Teams Up with iFit for Personalized Fitness

As the fitness industry continues to evolve, technology plays an increasingly important role in helping people achieve their health goals. This move reflects broader industry trends, where companies are investing in personalized fitness solutions that combine expert-led training with data-driven insights. Samsung’s recent partnership with iFit is a significant step in this direction, bringing over 10,000 workout videos and personalized coaching to its Health app.

With this collaboration, Samsung Galaxy Watch and Ring users can access iFit’s extensive library of workouts, including interval training, Pilates, and strength training sessions. The integration also enables real-time adjustments based on biometric data, such as heart rate, allowing for a more tailored fitness experience. As John Peel, lead iFit trainer, notes, “Your device connects directly to the machine, and it can speed up or slow down automatically to keep you in your ideal training zone.”

This partnership matters because it addresses a common challenge in fitness: avoiding plateaus. By providing access to expert-led workouts and personalized tracking, Samsung and iFit aim to help users measure progress and stay motivated. The collaboration also sets the stage for a more connected ecosystem, where wearable devices, fitness equipment, and coaching expertise come together to support holistic wellness.

Starting November 3, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch will sync with iFIT-enabled treadmills as a live heart rate monitor, further enhancing the fitness experience. While some workout sessions are available for free, premium content requires an iFit subscription, which starts at $10 per month for Samsung Health members. As Samsung expands its health partnerships, it’s positioning the Health app as a one-stop hub for fitness, wellness, and health tracking.
